Fashion-wise, the Grammys are so much more fun than movie awards.

I have more than 2!!!

Keri Hilson displayed the Hollywood glamour we've come to expect from the red carpet, wearing a nude, mermaid Dolce & Gabbana gown. If all mermaid dresses could look this good.



Gold is the winning color on the red carpet tonight, and clearly LeAnn Rimes got the memo! The country singer just stepped out in a sequined gold Reem Acra gown with cinched waist. The asymmetrical cap sleeve detail adds a special touch. Gold bangles, gold leaf earrings, minimal makeup, and pulled-back hair complete her glam goddess look. Are you feeling it? I love it!!

I must admit I have Bieber fever, actually I've HAD it.. I think he's so adorb, and I love all his music.  My iPod is full of his music, and I haved no shame for my Biebstir lovin.

Justin Bieber kicked off his Grammy performance, with a look at the first time Bieber sang "You Got it Bad" for Usher back in 2007. Fast forward four years later, and the boy who became a teen phenomenon took the stage to strum an acoustic version of "Baby" on his guitar. It only grew from there, as Usher joined in the fun for "O.M.G." I loved seeing these guys show off their moves side by side, but what did you think of the performance? And what do you think of Justin Bieber?!

Top 2 Tuesday - Friendship

Top 2 things you've learned about friendship

1. Its okay to have a small group of friends-
I have a lot of "good friends" but I prefer to keep my best/close friends in a small circle. I have 2 **BEST FRIENDS**, Heather and I have known each other for 11 years now, Kim and I have known each other for 9 years and other girls I'm extremely close with. Heather and Kim know everything about me and I feel so blessed to have them in my life.  It's an amazing feeling to know we've stuck by each other through everything and will continue to do so.  I have an awesome group of girlfriends I feel like we have a family like relationship, and have the best times together wherever we go out :)

2. Good Friends will hurt you every now and then-
I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.  Having a very good friend hurt you is one of the worst feelings you can possibly imagine. The pain can be overwhelming. You feel the knife in your back and it feels like it will never heal.
The good news is that most of the time you can get through anything and rebuild a relationship if your friend was ever a real friend. If you have a long history and your friendship was very special, you can learn to forgive them and get on with your life. Even if it might mean that the relationship has been changed forever.

Top 2 Healthy Recipes and Snack ideas!

1. Creamy Fruit Dip   *So quick & easy!*

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice.

Cover and chill in the refrigerator at least 3 hours before serving.

2. Special K Crackers in Multi-Grain and Italian Tomato & Herb

 

They’re flavorful. I tried both kinds, the Multi-Grain ones

and the Italian Tomato & Herb ones,

and I was happy with each of them.

Top 2 Strange Addictions

 

1. Vanilla Coke - I barely drank soda..that was until I discovered "Vanilla Coke".  I'm in love with this soda!  I find it totally addicting.  I don't what I'd do if they discontinued this product!

2. Blistex Lip Medex Chap stick - I hate having chapped lips, although I do have a habit of biting my lips when I'm nervous.  Mind you not just any old chap stick it has to be the gooey, yucky Blistex kind in the little pot.   I don't wear this chap stick during the day due to the gooey-ness, but I MUST be wearing it to bed and in the morning my lips feel so soft and conditioned.

2. Dance Teacher -

Teaching dance has been a wonderful experience for me. It has been an immense amount of fun and has taught me much about myself, the social life of children, and the fine art of teaching. 

2. Pharmacy Technican-

I was working as a cashier at ShopRite foodstore and my manager asked if I wanted to work in the Pharmacy.  Thank goodness I said yes because working in the pharmacy gave me drive on what I wanted to do with my life! My pharmacist has been a great mentor. Ive being work there for almost 6 years, how crazy!

1. My 3 Best Friends

Friday night I went to AC with my 3 best friends since freshman year of high school *Heather, Kim and Brooke*   I LOVE my gf's to death!  We may not always talk on the phone {or even fb, text, email, bbm, etc} every single day.. but when we all get together, we pick right up right where we left off.

2. My Family

This upcoming weekend is my cousins baby shower!  I get to see my aunts and cousins I haven't seen in acouple of months.  I LOVE when we get together the laughs never stop and I havent seen my cousin with her belly yet so I cant wait!!

1. Gold Heart Necklace- Steve gave me a gold heart necklace for our one year anniversay (1.13.09) This isnt the exact picture because Im not sure where he got it from but it means to much to me and I love that he picked out the necklace by himself. 

2. My Car- As time got closer to me turning 16 I would constantly point out cars to my parents that I loved!  Most of the time they were expensive, flashy ones(that I knew I was never going to get), or cute 2 door sport cars.  One day while in the car with my mom I saw my first toyota celica and fell INLOVE!  I literally couldnt stop talking about the car!!  I test drove acouple cars with my parents and werent really loving any of them until I drove around in a celica with my mom one night.  I knew I had to have this car and she thought it was a nice car too.  I remember begging her after the test drive to let us take it home that night but she said she still had to talk to my dad.  Lets just say the car ride home was a HUGE BUMMER and I was so close to getting my license with no car.  UNTIL...one night after dance practice my mom came to pick me up and we were riding down the street and there was a silver car in our driveway. I asked "whos car is that?" my mom said "Aunt Patti decided to come for the weekend" (my aunt has a tiny silver BMW) then we got closer and I thought it was my friend Brookes car because at the time she had a silver Tiburon.. and then I realized it was a SILVER TOYOTA CELICA sitting in MY driveway.  I screamed and literally jumped out of the car and ran the rest of the way to my house.  I cried, screamed, laughed, jumped up and down and hugged it. My dad was sitting in a lawn chair on the driveway and I must of thanked him a zillion times!
That was one of the best days and gifts in my life so far!
&& I'm to this day driving my Celica, we've been through a lot, but I still love my car as much as the first day I saw it.

My family went through a rough feud and I didn't see my four cousins, aunt and uncle for about 15 years.  My cousin Kelly got married August 2008 and we were all reunited!! I honestly still to this day am so thankful for my cousins wedding weekend because I got to know my cousins again, and since then Ive meet there husbands, kids, have seen 2 of my cousins have 3 more kids and my one cousin get engaged!

I'm a HUGE Gavin Degraw fan, I've seen him in concert 4 times!

  This song is a heartbreaking and amazing song that really delves into human weakness.

It brings back so many HS memories it will always be one of my favorite songs!

I don't know about you, but I'm ready for some Honeycrisp apples!!
They're my FAVORITE APPLE!
Word on the street is that they'll start popping up in grocery stores by the end of this month.

HONEYCRISP 101

Honeycrisp apple's harvest season ranges from September 15 to October 10 in east central Minnesota. Optimum harvest usually occurs in the fourth week of September, approximately one week after McIntosh and 2-1/2 weeks before Red Delicious. Earlier harvested apples are generally mild in flavor, while fruit from later harvest dates may be strongly aromatic. Honeycrisp apples ripen evenly and hold well on the tree. They can be harvested over an extended period or in a single picking. Although fruit adherence is usually good, trees with excessive crops may show some fruit drop. Thinning of heavy crops is advised since overcropping may also adversely affect flavor and fruit quality. Honeycrisp blooms in the early to middle part of the apple flowering period. It produces viable pollen that has successfully fertilized numerous other cultivars in experimental hand pollinations. Honeycrisp does not carry any known exceptional resistances to diseases or insects. Apple scab and cedar apple rust lesions have been observed on the leaves but these diseases have been readily controlled with a standard spray program. It has shown moderate susceptibility to fireblight. Supplemental applications of calcium may be useful in preventing bitter pit

I'm a total summer girl but when the cooler weather comes along a get excited for fall fashion especially BOOTS!  I'm always looking for HOTT boots to spruce up my wardrobe

1. Las Vegas

My mothers sister used to live in Las Vegas for 6 years, so every December we'd go to visit her and my uncle.  I wasnt 21 yet but I fell inlove the city! Theres so much to do there, that you never get bored.  I cant wait to go back now being that I'm 21+, I'm sure that'll be a crazy vacation!!! I love to party and Vegas is a perfect place for that.

 

2. Atlanta

I went to Atlanta this past March to visit my closest cousin Kelly.  She moved down there awhile ago to be with her future husband at the time.  I wasnt sure how I was going to ATL but I fell inlove! When I get out of college I would love to move down there. In Atlanta you hav sports, attractions, tours, art, historical places, amazing shopping, crazy nightlife, beautiful neighborhoods.  If you get a chance def. experience Atlanta your inteniary will be jam packed!

1. Sunglasses.

 I have a serious sunglass addiction!  I wear sunglasses everyday,

and have way too many pairs.

 

2. Vacations.

I'm a full-time student and also work about 25 hours a week, which is very hard to juggle. 

So when I have time to vacation I love to travel to exotic, beautiful resorts.

I save a lot of my money for upcoming vacations.

And I'm so lucky to have met a guy who feels the exact same way as me!

1. While online shopping leaving items you REALLY want to buy in your shopping cart for a few days- 

 I know it stinks to leave the items your dying to buy right then and there because you MUST have them.. You want your beloved UPS man to come to your house as soon as possible with your package, how could you hold off on not clicking "checkout".  I promise you, if you can wait 3-4 days without checking out that website will send you a coupon to your email inbox.  They WANT you to buy their items so when they see your holding out on buying them they will do whatever it takes to receive your money. && you receive a coupon!! who doesnt want 15%, 20%, 30% off?!? or maybe even buy $75 get $30 taken off your receipt at check out?!  TRUST ME ITS WORTH IT!!!

2. Always Shop With a List!

Before grocery shopping, write a list of the items you need. Then, when shopping, only buy those items. Avoid putting other things in your cart that catch your eye. This almost always works for me!  I stick to my list and only buy whats on it and/or I bring cash to buy groceries because then I wont try and buy things I dont need.

1. Lazy Sundays-

I usually work Sundays because at the pharmacy I get payed time & a half, so I never try to pass up the opportunity.  But sometimes I ask for Sunday off for well.... just because!!  I love waking up and having nothing planned.  Steve is off every Sunday so we usually just do whatever comes our way.  I love it!  I wish I had more lazy Sundays but when I get my paycheck I'm usually glad I dragged my booty into work.

2. A long conversation with a good friend.

My friends and I, our lives have changed in the last 3 months so quickly... Many graduated college, started jobs, some moved away, some are getting serious with boyfriends and girlfriends, and some that I haven't seen in along time moved home!  Im pretty up-to-date on my besties lives but with my other good friends I only get to hear pieces through a quick text, phone call, or via facebook.  So when that rare time comes where and good friend and I have long enough time to get each other up-to-speed on things I usually end up leaving with a huge smile on my face!   Nothing beats catching up and reminiscing!!
