30 day photo challenge - day six

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd
love to trade places with for a day

Kate Middleton is living the glamorous life!

Ever since the big announcement came out about Kate and Prince Williams upcoming
wedding I've become fascinated with Kate Middleton.  I've watched very TV show on her.
Kate is getting a royal wedding, is ever so stylish, and absolutely stunning!
She seems to have it all!
But the grass isn't always greener on the other side, right??

I love all her hats and headpieces!

What do you think about Kate Middleton?

30 day photo challenge - day five

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory

There is no way I could pick just one favorite memory, so this post will have multiple photos!

A lot of my favorite memories are at Rutgers University!  I transferred to RU only knowing my high school friends from home.  I moved into a tiny tiny apartment with 3 amazing ladies, had nights I'll never forget and also moved a house with 5 different crazy girls!  We've had so much fun!

Many nights at the Rutgers bars is always a must!!

I treasure every moment I spend with my family and friends.
There would be a photo overload if I shared them all.

Memories are worth all the sleepless
nights it takes to make them. Y

Day 4 - Picture of your night

[Gina, Chelsea, Rebecca, Jess, Me, Heather & Lana in the middle]

Lana turned 21 Saturday!! My 5 roommates and I had a big party for her,
with our closest friends from school, home and Lana's sorority.
Lana had a fabulous birthday weekend, I love that my
best friend Heather from home came up and the setup my roommates

30 day photo challenge - TV show cast

3 - Picture of the Cast from Your Favorite TV Show

Desperate Housewives is one of my all time favorite shows! I watch is religiously and have seen every single season! It's a drama/comedy series on ABC channel 7 Sundays at 9:00! I seriously think if you give this show chance, you will get addicted! It's about relationship, gossip, hard times, and everything in between! And on this new season there is a new housewife... Vanessa Williams!

30 day photo challenge - day two

Day 02 - A picture of you and the person
you have been closest with the longest.

My younger sister Jackie.

As we have gotten older, my sister and I have gotten closer and closer. The unconditional love and support that we will always have for one another is something that isn’t easy to find in any relationship. It sounds cliché, but it’s true that there is nothing as special as the bond between sisters and nothing can really break that bond. We will continue to always fight about clothes but we will never allow that to create distance between us.

If I know anything about my future, it is that my relationship with my little sister is going to be one of the most important and meaningful elements of my life. We are different in almost every way, but we do have the exact same laugh, the same love of fashion, music, and the beach, and the same need for the love and support of the other. She is my little sister, but as I have grown older, I have needed her more than anything.

30 day photo challenge - day one

I saw my Boardie Girlfriend Jen do this blog challenge, and I want to join in.  Most of the time when I do challenges I forget about them and don't finish but I am going to try REALLY REALLY hard to complete this challenge.
Day #1- A photo of yourself with ten facts:

1. I'm a true Jersey Girl, born and raised.  "The Jersey girl..a love of an unpretentious good time, and a certain sense of style. Jersey girls are about attitude. They're about eating pizza, drinking beer, having great hair - and enjoying it all..She's got a mouth on her. She says what she means. And she's got a nice, cheerful laugh..Bottom line, all of them are sexy as hell." -The Star Ledger

2. I'm a Type A personality - I'm goal driven person, constantly working hard, and hate failure  I always feel pressured for time, I'm not usually a very talkative person but the times that I am, I talk very fast, loud and like to put my input a lot in group conversations.  I'm bad at interrupting people... working on that!  I guess being a competitive dancer is good because I'm always pushing myself even through pain and fatigue. I'll admit the bad part about being Type A is that I'm really bad at nurturing other peoples emotional needs.(always something I'm working on)  I guess this is where my anxiety disorder comes from.

3. You know that YouTube video "How To Trick People Into Thinking Your Good Looking"?..that would be me! I had horrible teeth as a kid, got glasses in the 1st grade, and wore braces for 5 years.  If I'm not wearing my glasses or contacts I'm basically blind, everything is a blur.  I wear my retainer 3-4 nights a week so my teeth wont shift.  I have very fair skin and lots of freckles but I fade them out with my love for self tanner and face makeup.  I have extremely blonde eyebrows and eyelashes, without mascara or penciled in eyebrows on I look very weird.  I don't want to give the wrong illusion that I cake on makeup everyday but I don't wake up looking like my everyday self.

4. I'm a self tanning junkie, I've tried so many products.  Self tanner is my savour, its amazing what a "tan" can do for a girl's mood.

5. I can't cook.  I've been living on my own now for over 2 years, have bought plenty of cook books but never put in the time to actually learn.  I cook the same simple things all the time, get take out or get food that cooks in the microwave.  It's boring me...

6. My sign is Cancer which fits me perfectly - Cancerians are the least predictable, although I think of myself as a Type A I'm very emotional and sensitive.  Cancerians are loyal, rarely take the direct approach to what they want but usually get it, are better judged but what they do then by what they say, have a hard shell to the world but are very soft on the inside. They seek out relationships and are happiest when with those they love because it gives them a sense of security. Cancerians are very intuitive, almost to the point of being psychic. They are able to spot even the smallest change in another's behaviour, so it is hard to deceive them. They are very insightful and most have a photographic memory.

7. I've never really been single. Not since high school. Definite pattern of serial monogamy. And most interestingly, I have not initiated or pursued the subsequent relationship.  I've always had long term relationships.  I realized then that I don't know what it's like to be 'dating' and 'looking' and all that.  I've always made sure though not to lose sense of myself.  I make sure to enjoy the things I love, spend time with family and friends, and most importantly have me time.

8. I have a sister 4 years young than me, but looks like my twin.  I have a large extended family 26 cousins, and 13 aunts and uncles.

9. I love shopping, which can sometimes be bad.  - Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping.  You can get to know the quickest if you shop with me, shopping is cheaper than a psychiatrist,  I don't shop because I need something, I just shop for shopping's sake. (I do save a lot though, use coupons and always look for sales)

10. I must go on atleast one vacation a year so I have something to look forward to!

Day 4 of Christmas Blog Challenge!!

{12 Days of Christmas Blog Challenge: Day 4}

Day 4: Tips/Tricks to a Budget Friendly holiday season

  • When shopping with a budget first, look at your finances and see how much you can REALISTICALLY spend!
  • Make a list of everyone you’d like to give a gift to.  Then figure out what gift you’d like to get each person, and put down the cost of that item.  If you can’t afford it don’t buy it.
  • coupon, coupons, coupons!!  Collect them, and attach them to your list.
  • Shopping online can be cheaper than shopping in stores.  A lot of retailers are offering free or low shipping.  Browse for a bargain before leaving your home.
  • Pay with cash when your able to.  Using cash could greatly reduce impulsive buying and overspending and almost forces you to find a good deal.

Day 3 of Christmas Blog Challenge!!

"12 Days of Christmas" Blog Challenge!

Day 3: Most meaningful gift/best gift you've received

I've received so many great gifts in my life, blessed beyond words, the best grand parents any kid could ask for, great loving parents, and because of the way they raised me, I know what the best gift I ever received was, but first the rest of my great gifts, my boyfriend, my little sister, and my best friends.

My best gift I ever received is from the one who gave me all the above.
God has filled my life with love and happiness.

Day 1 & 2 of Christmas Blog Challenge!!

"12 Days of Christmas" Blog Challenge!

Day 1: Christmas/Holiday traditions
Ever since I was about 8 or 9 years old we haven't celebrated Christmas at home.  I have family an extremely large family spread across so many different states that we usually go out of state for Christmas.  The first couple of years we spent Christmas in Las Vegas when my mothers sister lived out there.  Then she moved to Phoenix, AZ and we spent Christmas there.  Recently the last 6 or 7 years we've spent Christmas at my aunts house, a town right outside of Washington, DC.  We usually leave to go away Christmas Eve, so the day before Christmas Eve we exchange gifts.  All my friends always ask "Don't you miss waking up on Christmas Day in your own home", or "Isn't it weird opening gifts early"?  Honestly, its not.  We've away from home on Christmas for so many years that it doesn't bother me.  I love being with my family that I dont see that often so that's the best Christmas gift!

Day 2 - Black Friday/General Shopping Tips & Tricks

I have no patience to brave the crowds on Black Friday so I've never gone.  I'm staying far far far away from those crazy people.  I'd rather sit on my cozy couch and shop via my laptop.
But, I do have some Tips and Tricks on shopping

1.) Don't buy anything FULL price, trust me it WILL go on sale before Christmas.
2.) Never shop without a coupon.  If you don't get them mail to your house or in email, there is most likely a printable or online promo code online, research!
3.)  If you find something you like online ex: anything brand name on a department store online website, google the item!! You may find it on a different website much cheaper!  So DON'T automatically buy!
4.)  Have a list of what you'd like to get for the people your shopping for.  If you have an idea, you'll spend less time shopping, wandering and wasting time.
5.)  Don't buy expensive wrapping paper, gift bags, ribbon, and bows.  Go to your local dollar store or walmart.  They have great gift wrap for a cheap price!
6.) Don't lose Receipts! Save all the receipts from your Christmas shopping expedition. You may need it later, when your gift turns out to be faulty or has a missing part. Your gift recipient will be glad you can get a replacement.
7.) Shop in off peak hours- Most stores aren't very busy early in the morning or late at night. Shop at slow times and you can forgo the crowds and long lines. Better yet, find some stores that are open 24 hours.
8.) Buy Extra Gifts- Find some "generic" items on sale that can be for a man or a woman, and purchase a couple of extras. Wrap them up and put a sticky note on the box stating what the item is. This way you'll always be prepared if someone unexpectedly gives you a gift, and you can avoid any embarrassment or hurt feelings by returning the favor.

Be Prepared like the TARGET LADY!!!

I LOVE this commercial I think its HILARIOUS!

Happy Shopping Ya'll!!!
