So... Thursday...

Good morning! Yupp, it’s Thursday! Tomorrow is FRIDAY!
How do you ladies feel about that? Winking smile Well it’s almost over.
But this week seems to be dragging quit a bit maybe its NJ’s crummy, gray, gloomy, and rainy weather.
I know, ”APRIL showers, bring MAY flowers”.  I also, know I complain a lot about the weather but come on after this horrible winter I need outstanding warm and sunny weather now! PLEASE!

Thursday April 21, 2011 Here’s a shot of my speed growing sunflower.  I sound totally cheesy and corny when I talk about my sunflower and cactus (I wont bore you with cactus pictures because well its growth is as fast as a turtle ::yawn:: )

I was thinking of taking the flower home with me this weekend and planting it.  But then I can take pictures of it everyday because I’m not done at school just yet….  I’m a cornball to the MAX and I want to make a scrapbook page of my sunflower growing.  I’ll let you know what I do!

So let’s chat about more interesting FUN!

What is RUTGERSFEST??
”A yearly gathering of RU students and friends to celebrate the end of the school year. Drinking is a definite. Eating is a plus. After consumption of beer and food, bands in a lineup of mixed genres perform. It doesn't end there, unofficially, Rutgersfest continues on frat row and extends throughout campuses at house parties, dorms, bars, and restaurants.”

Basically RUTGERSFEST is the best day of the year to be a Rutgers student!  It’s what students talk about in September during the first full weeks of classes, and throughout the year when its becoming closer and closer and how drunk of their minds they plan on being.

Heather came up to Rutgers Thursday night after my night class and stayed over.  Friday we woke up at about 8:45 to my lovely alarm, got some Dunkin breakfast, and began getting our drink on about 10AM with our breakfast.  Beer pong followed shortly after breakfast.  The first teams up were Steve and I against my roommates Rebecca and Katie.  Steve and I DOMINATED them!! I don’t play pong that much, but my throwing was on point!
I was *WINNING* ahah!

The aftermath!!

**Rutgersfest is the best day of the year at college and due to out of control violence it is forever canceled!!  (Below is from a news article) READ IT!!**
”The chaotic celebration that is Rutgersfest: 11 people were arrested and four people were shot over the course of the one day event. And now, the school’s president has sent out an email saying Rutgersfest has been permanently cancelled.”
”The safety of our university community, and that of our neighbors, is paramount, and we cannot risk further danger or the possible loss of life. The problems that occur following Rutgersfest have grown beyond our capacity to manage them, and the only responsible course of action is to cancel the event," wrote Rutgers President Richard McCormick in an email to the campus community late yesterday, explaining why it was necessary to shelve the 30-year-old festival. An estimated 40,000 to 50,000 people attended the free event, including many high school and college students from other schools. Besides Snooki, there were boardwalk style carnival games, food booths and a concert featuring hip-hop artists Pitbull and Yelawolf and electronic-pop act 3OH!3.”
”Not that they'll necessarily get a chance to implement it with Rutgersfest now. Pete Mangarella, New Brunswick’s police director, called the free event "the worst thing of the year for the city of New Brunswick." Fights broke out during the event (you can see one particularly raunchy one below), and spilled into the city late at night after the event had finished. The injured teenagers, who were all male, included an 18-year-old who was shot once in each leg, a 19-year-old shot twice in the buttocks and another man grazed by a bullet on his hip. Two 17-year-olds were also hospitalized, one for a gunshot wound to the hip and another after being hit in the head with a bottle.”
It’s such a shame that a 30 year tradition has to be put to rest because of non Rutgers trash that came and ruined it for the future Rutgers classes.  Glad my last Rutgers fest was a good one!

My cousin Kelly’s new baby Elliot is turning 3 months old next week.  Kelly sent out new pictures of him.  I’m so inlove with him!  I can’t wait until he comes up from ATL to spend a long weekend in NJ!

Elliot is the cutest little leprechaun!

Sweepy!

Have a great Thursday ladies!!

My Weekend :)

It’s Monday. Ugh.
I don’t know why I react the same way every Monday.
It’s not like Monday’s are going anywhere.
 Sigh…

Thursday night my closest cousin Kelly had her little baby boy!
Graham Elliot (last name) Jr.  "Elliot"
Born 7:26 pm; 1/27/11.  8 pounds, 8 ounces. 21.5 inches
Kelly lives in Atlanta so I'm bummed that I can't meet this new little bundle of joy yet.  But I've been over the moon ecstatic that hes finally here.  I've been waiting for her to have a baby for literally years.  My cousin Kelly and I have 8 year age difference between us but we've been close all our lives, we even share the same birthday!  I feel now that I'm in my twenties and she's gone through a lot of the things I'm dealing/dealt with, that our relationship is even closer.  I love it!
-Meet my families newest addition-
I love him to pieces already!

Friday I stayed home, it was nice.
Saturday I celebrated my best friend Kim's 23rd birthday in NYC.  Kim is a twin so it was a conjoined party for her and her twin brother Frank.  Franks friends I've known all through high school until now so it was a good time hanging out with my girlfriends and close friends I've known for awhile.  We all took the bus into the city and went to McFaddens.  We got there around 10PM and to be honest I wasnt really feeling the bar, and a lot of people weren't either.  It was different then bars at home, but after an hour we all started having a really good time.  They played a whole mix of different music and the bartenders put on a great show by dancing on the bar and singing along to the songs.  We didn't get home until after 3AM and all day Sunday I was dead tired.  I kinda felt like I was a little too old to be partying in the city and staying out late, but thats the time I get in sometimes when I'm out at home so i dont know why I was dragging so bad??..

Pat dancing with our waitress.  Okay theres a story with this girl.  When we first sat down she gave us our menus and talked to our table.  And while she was talking to us she had her arm around my friend Matt and was leaning into him a little too close!  When she was asking Steve what he wanted to drink she had her hand on his thigh! She was a little flirt!  It was hilarious and was our entertainment for the night.  She obviously thought her sh*t didn't stink and you couldn't help but laugh at her!  We'd be dancing and she'd come over to my guy friends and start like shaking her boobs and rubbing her body.  All of us were like "This girl can't be serious, she needs a reality check!!"  It was a good laugh.

The boys watching our not so hott stuff waitress,
shes probably doing something embarrassing.

By this point in the night everyone was pretty buzzed and the
waitress even admitted to my guy friends she was drinking..

I hope everyone had a nice weekend :)
Tomorrow we're supposed to get MORE SNOW.
Gee I'm soo excited!!
Good thing I stocked up on wine tonight.
