1. How often do you wash your vehicle?

Not often enough.  Washing and cleaning the inside of my car has been on my to-do list for months!  I keep telling myself I need to do it but I'm soo lazy... ugh

Depends on where were going and whos turn it is to drive.  My girlfriends and I usually take turns.

4. What kind of music do you listen to the most?

Pop, Hip-Hop, Dance music

I like both! OR Driving with my windows down while the AC is on.

30 day photo challenge - day one

I saw my Boardie Girlfriend Jen do this blog challenge, and I want to join in.  Most of the time when I do challenges I forget about them and don't finish but I am going to try REALLY REALLY hard to complete this challenge.

Day #1- A photo of yourself with ten facts:

1. I'm a true Jersey Girl, born and raised.  "The Jersey girl..a love of an unpretentious good time, and a certain sense of style. Jersey girls are about attitude. They're about eating pizza, drinking beer, having great hair - and enjoying it all..She's got a mouth on her. She says what she means. And she's got a nice, cheerful laugh..Bottom line, all of them are sexy as hell." -The Star Ledger
 

2. I'm a Type A personality - I'm goal driven person, constantly working hard, and hate failure  I always feel pressured for time, I'm not usually a very talkative person but the times that I am, I talk very fast, loud and like to put my input a lot in group conversations.  I'm bad at interrupting people... working on that!  I guess being a competitive dancer is good because I'm always pushing myself even through pain and fatigue. I'll admit the bad part about being Type A is that I'm really bad at nurturing other peoples emotional needs.(always something I'm working on)  I guess this is where my anxiety disorder comes from.


3. You know that YouTube video "How To Trick People Into Thinking Your Good Looking"?..that would be me! I had horrible teeth as a kid, got glasses in the 1st grade, and wore braces for 5 years.  If I'm not wearing my glasses or contacts I'm basically blind, everything is a blur.  I wear my retainer 3-4 nights a week so my teeth wont shift.  I have very fair skin and lots of freckles but I fade them out with my love for self tanner and face makeup.  I have extremely blonde eyebrows and eyelashes, without mascara or penciled in eyebrows on I look very weird.  I don't want to give the wrong illusion that I cake on makeup everyday but I don't wake up looking like my everyday self.

4. I'm a self tanning junkie, I've tried so many products.  Self tanner is my savour, its amazing what a "tan" can do for a girl's mood.

5. I can't cook.  I've been living on my own now for over 2 years, have bought plenty of cook books but never put in the time to actually learn.  I cook the same simple things all the time, get take out or get food that cooks in the microwave.  It's boring me...
 

6. My sign is Cancer which fits me perfectly - Cancerians are the least predictable, although I think of myself as a Type A I'm very emotional and sensitive.  Cancerians are loyal, rarely take the direct approach to what they want but usually get it, are better judged but what they do then by what they say, have a hard shell to the world but are very soft on the inside. They seek out relationships and are happiest when with those they love because it gives them a sense of security. Cancerians are very intuitive, almost to the point of being psychic. They are able to spot even the smallest change in another's behaviour, so it is hard to deceive them. They are very insightful and most have a photographic memory. 

7. I've never really been single. Not since high school. Definite pattern of serial monogamy. And most interestingly, I have not initiated or pursued the subsequent relationship.  I've always had long term relationships.  I realized then that I don't know what it's like to be 'dating' and 'looking' and all that.  I've always made sure though not to lose sense of myself.  I make sure to enjoy the things I love, spend time with family and friends, and most importantly have me time.

8. I have a sister 4 years young than me, but looks like my twin.  I have a large extended family 26 cousins, and 13 aunts and uncles.

9. I love shopping, which can sometimes be bad.  - Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping.  You can get to know the quickest if you shop with me, shopping is cheaper than a psychiatrist,  I don't shop because I need something, I just shop for shopping's sake. (I do save a lot though, use coupons and always look for sales)

 

10. I must go on atleast one vacation a year so I have something to look forward to!

So What...

• If yesterday I got a trim for the first since before summer...
• If I ordered a lot of food the other night and didn't eat it all but brought it home.  My eyes are may much bigger than my stomach.
• If my best guy friends girlfriend doesn't like me, for no reason might I add.  Am I a bad person for not caring?? ahah
• If I have a purchasing nail polish obsession and paint my nails like 3 times a week.
• If I didn't buy Steve anything for our anniversary yet, procrastination has gotten a hold of me again.
• If I opted to stay home and scrapbook instead of going out with my friends last night, I think my liver is loving me right now for the break.
• If I have no New Years resolution.  I just wish to improve in everything and have a happy life.

Random Things about me:
1.) I just like to buy "things" although I HATE "stuff". I'm always "cleaning out things".
2.) I sit very far away from my steering wheel, farther than most people and probably farther than I should.
3.) I get extremely annoyed, peeved and cranky when I'm asked more than 3 questions in a row.
4.) I have all the info and numbers memorized on my bank card and American express. Can you tell I online shop much?
5.) I love eating but for some odd reason this weird thing where I can't clear my plate.  I must leave a little of something, no matter if I'm still hungry.
6.) In kindergarten a girl threw up in my hair!! It has haunted me for life, and whenever someone doesn't feel good usually the first thing I say is "Don't throw up on me!"  and seeing somone elses throw up makes me throw up.. TMI? sorry. 
7.) I'm very competitive and hate being wrong.
8.) I will never date/marry someone who smokes, although I dated someone who smoked for over 2 years.  I can't stand it! 
9.) I feel very awkward shaking anyones hand.
10.) I have been told that I am an oblivious flirt. Apparently I do it without realizing it, because I dont think I am what so ever
11.) Usually the first time I hear a song, I can choreograph a dance.
12.) I do not have a tattoo but, I think about getting one a lot.  Then talk myself out of it because I'm sure I'll get bored of it, even if it does have meaning. 
13.) I bruise very easily like a banana.  I have bruises that I have no idea where they came from. 
14.) I have my bedroom clock set an hour ahead of the actual time. I like waking up and knowing I have more time to sleep, its an amazing feeling. 
15.) I crack jokes on people a lot, but that means I like you(men and women)

Christmas Edition

{one} did you buy a christmas tree this year?

we havent bought a Christmas tree in awhile, we've been putting up a fake one.  But no it's not up yet :(

{two} what is your favorite holiday tradition?

Playing games Christmas night with the family after we've had dinner and desert.

{three} do you open your gifts on christmas eve or christmas day?For years now my family & I go away for the Christmas holiday to out of state extended family.  We usually leave the day before Christmas Eve so we open our gifts then.  My mom usually brings a gift or two for Christmas day so we have something to open. 

{four} at what age did you stop believing in santa claus?i was talking to my mom about this last week I think it was first grade.  But I wouldnt tell my mom I knew there was no Santa because I was afraid I'd stop getting gifts.

{five} do you fill stockings?yes, my mom still fills stockings for us kids, with candy and little things 
{six} handmade presents or store bought presents?depends on who its for and what but I think both.
{seven} do you have a favorite christmas meal?

I love Christmas breakfast. My mom and aunts go all out!

{eight} is your christmas tree real or artificial?

Artificial.  We stopped getting real trees because we go away and real trees are a fire hazard.

Fill In The Blank Friday

1.  My Thanksgiving plans this year will include   Going to my aunts house on my mothers side.  Eating as much food as I can until my stomach feels like its going to explode.  Playing Wii with my little cousin, watching the FB game, ending the night with dessert and a nice glass of sweet wine.

2.  My favorite Thanksgiving was  last years Thanksgiving.  I got really into baking and made my first Pumpkin Cheesecake.  It was my first time making that type of cheesecake and it was a hit at my aunts and at Steve's Thanksgiving dinner.  I was proud!

3.  My signature Thanksgiving dish is I don’t really have one.  I never do the cooking and last year was my first time baking.  Hopefully I’ll have one soon :)

4.  My favorite Thanksgiving food is   Sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top!  I only eat this on Thanksgiving and I love looking forward to eating it.  And of course the dessert table.

5.  Thanksgiving free association!  turkey, stuffing, family, football, Thanksgiving Day parade, shopping, Black Friday/

6.  Thansgiving is a very warming holiday.  Thanksgiving Day is a day set aside each year to give thanks to God for all the blessings we’ve received this past year. 

7.  I am thankful for my parents who have been married for 30 years this past October and who have given excellent parenting skills that give me security I need to make good choices in life.  I'm thankful for my little sister, my animals, and my wonderful boyfriend of almost 2 years.  He's stood by me through so much, encourages me, and is my backbone.  I'm thankful for my health, and that of my family.  I’m thankful for all the necessities I have everyday that I usually take forgotten.  I’m thankful for my best friends- I'm glad to have them in my life, we laugh together and cry together. I’m thankful for my whole life, although I sometimes think I have it horrible when I really don’t.  I'm truly blessed with everything I’ve been given in life.

Fill In the Blank Friday

1. The most spontaneous thing I've ever done was bungee jump a cliff while vacationing in Cabo this past May.  Steve, myself and this other couple signed up for zip lining excursion and then all of a sudden the tour guides asked if we wanted to bungee jump. Ive had this on my TO DO list and I knew I couldnt pass this up.  I had to be basically pushed off the cliff and I almost pooped my pants LOL

2. The best gift I've ever received was & still is my wonderful family.  They're my strength.

3. A time that I was truly and genuinely surprised was when my parents gave me my CELICA for my 17th birthday, that I posted about HERE!! I was truely & honestly so surprised, I couldn't stop crying and then I couldnt stop smiling that it hurt my cheeks lol

4. I can't leave the house without my cellphone, keys and my wallet.

5. My favorite day of the week is Saturday because I dont have to wake up and go to school, I get to sleep alittle later than usual, and I'm free to do to do whatever I'd like on Saturdays.  Saturday is also my favorite night to go out with my friends and/or boyfriend.

6. Something that can always make me laugh is the movie the hangover.  No matter how many times I see it I laugh so hard all the time!

7. My perfect day would include waking up and spending the day at the beach on a beautiful, warm day.  Spending the night either eating dinner outside, going to the boardwalk, having a backyard BBQ with friends, going dancing, or seeing a good movie!

Five Question Friday!!

1. If you could have any talent and turn it into an occupation, what would it be?

I was a competitive dancer, still dance, and I'm a dance teacher.  But Ive LOVE to be a Rockette or a professional dancer.

2. Would you rather have a house at the beach or a cabin in the woods?

house on the beach ALL THE WAY!!!  I love the beach!

 

3. Is there any meaning or reasoning for the names you chose for your child/children?

I dont have any children.. but the names I have picked out that I like dont have any meaning except for that I like them.

4. What is your guilty pleasure? (I know we've done this one before, but I'm guessing people's "guilty pleasures" change frequently. At least, mine do!)

5. Do you live in a house that is deep cleaned or straightened?

I live in a house with 6 girls... We are not messy people but we arent spit-spot clean.  Our house is pretty straightened and whoever comes over always says our house is so nice.

Things about me:

I NEVER dyed my hair until Tuesday night I dyed it a dirty blonde.. Its not a big difference but its a nice change for fall I guess.  But I LOVE my barbie blonde hair soo Im sure Ill bring it back prettyyyy soon.

I do NOT like talking on the phone, texting or what not(so last season lol).  I only text or call when I really have to talk to someone.  I dont like when people leave me voicemails I currently have 9 unheard right now... ughhhh

I tell the corniest jokes everrr... no one usually laughs but me, a lot of people think Im wacked out of my mind but I think Im blessed hahah

I'm STILL trying to find a favorite mascara the hunt has been on since April 2010

I can get pretty wild.... which is sometimes a good or bad thing.

I have an obsessive type personality- when I find something I like, love or want I will stalk it!!! ex: clothing- Ill look it up on the web everyday hoping it goes on sale

I have to sleep with my fan on.  Not because I'm hot, but the noise helps me sleep.

I'm a really picky eater.  Its annoying but I starting to like more foods and try new things.

*Funny story*- Steve went to culinary school, and when we first started dating he took me out for dinner and I didnt want to let him know how picky I was so I ordered a meal that I would NEVER eat in 1,000 years.. I sucked it up, ate it with a smile on my face but secretly dying inside....

if I had a nickel for every time I was late to work.. I'd have exactly 25 cents extra a week.

 nothing makes me madder than rain.. well besides sock puppets. they are so creepy


I'm known to go MIA a lot, and seen as often as a unicorn

Steves nephew and godson, Jordan & myself.  I love kids and I have a lot of little cousins ranging from 1yr-8yrs old but I dont get to see them very often.  Fortunately I get to see Jordan alot which makes me extremely happy.  I love this little boy and its so exciting watching him grow and learn!

{three} what’s your favorite candy?hmm I know this is going to sound strange but Im not really into chocolate EXCEPT if it has lots of goodies inside.  So id say a MILKYWAY!
{four} did you have a favorite costume growing up?I'm obessed with everything wedding!  And my mom might have contributed to my extreme obsession when she made me an adorable bride costume!  My mother sure knows her daughter!How cute is this adult virgin bride costume?? I wanted to get it but I dont want people to think im nuts!
{five} did you carve pumpkins this year?nope. I haven't craved a pumpkin in sooo long!!I wanted to this year but didnt find the time... bummer
{six} what’s your favorite scary movie?i have acouple - Silence of the Lambs, The Others, The Ring, Paranormal Activity, The Orphanage

{seven} haunted houses or corn mazes?BOTH! Anything that makes me jump - I'M IN!{eight} are you superstitious?Yess here are some of mine..-Dont put your purse on the floor or youll stay broke. -If a candle lighted as part of a ceremony blows out, it is a sign that evil spirits are nearby.  -It brings bad luck for a flag to touch the ground. -It is unlucky to see your face in a mirror by candlelight. -A bride's veil protects her from evil spirits who are jealous of happy people. -It's bad luck to open an umbrella inside the house, especially if you put it over your head.

{ten} what are you plans for this coming halloween?Friday I will be going out with my roommates, Saturday Im going to my parents house and may either go out to the club for alittle or go on a haunted hay ride.
