Day 1: Christmas/Holiday traditions
Ever since I was about 8 or 9 years old we haven't celebrated Christmas at home. I have family an extremely large family spread across so many different states that we usually go out of state for Christmas. The first couple of years we spent Christmas in Las Vegas when my mothers sister lived out there. Then she moved to Phoenix, AZ and we spent Christmas there. Recently the last 6 or 7 years we've spent Christmas at my aunts house, a town right outside of Washington, DC. We usually leave to go away Christmas Eve, so the day before Christmas Eve we exchange gifts. All my friends always ask "Don't you miss waking up on Christmas Day in your own home", or "Isn't it weird opening gifts early"? Honestly, its not. We've away from home on Christmas for so many years that it doesn't bother me. I love being with my family that I dont see that often so that's the best Christmas gift!
Day 2 - Black Friday/General Shopping Tips & Tricks
I have no patience to brave the crowds on Black Friday so I've never gone. I'm staying far far far away from those crazy people. I'd rather sit on my cozy couch and shop via my laptop.
But, I do have some Tips and Tricks on shopping
1.) Don't buy anything FULL price, trust me it WILL go on sale before Christmas.
2.) Never shop without a coupon. If you don't get them mail to your house or in email, there is most likely a printable or online promo code online, research!
3.) If you find something you like online ex: anything brand name on a department store online website, google the item!! You may find it on a different website much cheaper! So DON'T automatically buy!
4.) Have a list of what you'd like to get for the people your shopping for. If you have an idea, you'll spend less time shopping, wandering and wasting time.
5.) Don't buy expensive wrapping paper, gift bags, ribbon, and bows. Go to your local dollar store or walmart. They have great gift wrap for a cheap price!
6.) Don't lose Receipts! Save all the receipts from your Christmas shopping expedition. You may need it later, when your gift turns out to be faulty or has a missing part. Your gift recipient will be glad you can get a replacement.
7.) Shop in off peak hours- Most stores aren't very busy early in the morning or late at night. Shop at slow times and you can forgo the crowds and long lines. Better yet, find some stores that are open 24 hours.
8.) Buy Extra Gifts- Find some "generic" items on sale that can be for a man or a woman, and purchase a couple of extras. Wrap them up and put a sticky note on the box stating what the item is. This way you'll always be prepared if someone unexpectedly gives you a gift, and you can avoid any embarrassment or hurt feelings by returning the favor.
Be Prepared like the TARGET LADY!!!
I LOVE this commercial I think its HILARIOUS!

Thanks for sharing!
I always end up with extra gifts.Weird how hat happens.!!
I've never been to Black Friday either. I would much rather sleep in and shop online. At one of the Best Buy in my cities, there is already a crowd of people in line (in the rain), and the store doesn't open up for another 12 hours. Crazy!
