My Christmas!

My Christmas wasn't the merriest of Christmas' but I tried to make the best of it.  I came home from school last Monday 12/20 and my mom told me she was filing for divorce from my father.(She had to tell me when she did, because of a situation that happened)  Of course hearing that is hard to hear, she said she just cant do it anymore.  I knew it was coming for along time now but I took it extremely hard.  I believe I cried last Monday until I fell asleep and woke up with a pounding headache.  My parents didn't talk all week and Christmas Eve my dad wasn't home at all. I spent Christmas Eve at Steve's families house and when I came home my dad still wasn't home.  I called him and texted him with no answer.  Christmas morning we slept in and my sister, mom and I opened gifts around 10:30, my dad was not home.  It literally broke my heart, it was hard to smile and hard to act happy, especially seeing my dads Christmas gifts just sitting under the tree. My mom reassured my sister and I that this was going to be for the best but on Christmas I just couldn't grasp that.  My family and I are usually out of state for Christmas but with my cousin Kelly being pregnant and living in Atlanta, the same plans didn't happen this yr.   So for Christmas dinner I went out to dinner with my sister and mom to Houlihans, which was surprisingly very packed!  Then that night Steve and my sisters boyfriend Matt came over.  We played Wii(we got last yr for Christmas) for hours.  The snow storm forced my parents to talk to each other, things are better but not great.  I guess we'll see what happens..
I hope I dont bore you all with the load of pictures I'm about to post!

Aw Katie, I'm so sorry about your parents. At least you and Steve looked like you made the best of Christmas. I hope your NYE is 10x better than your Christmas holiday :) xoxoxo

Katie - Sorry to hear about your parents! I would have hoped she would have told you AFTER the holidays, but it was probably best to tell you when they decided on it!

Looks like you had a nice Christmas despite the news! Have a great week! Xoxo

I'm so sorry sweetie!! I pray that you have peace in your heart and you find understanding that God has a greater plan that we can't even begin to imagine. Sometimes we have to go through pain but I've learned through experience just to trust Him. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year :)

Oh no, sorry about your parents, and that it was over Christmas too :(
I hope the rest of your break is a bit better :)
I love the gifts you got each other, very much things that me and Dyl would buy for one another!
