suicidal deer

I've been taking night summer classes for the last couple weeks now monday-thursday from 6-9ish.  The drive to and from school is about 45 minutes.  Driving to school is fine, I have my windows down, sunroof open, jamming out to the radio, but coming home from school is a different story.  I take a major highway half way home and then back roads the rest of the way.  Each night I see usually see between 2-5 deer.  3 New Year Eves ago a deer jumped out infront of my car at 1 in the AFTERNOON what shook me up pretty well, and my dad has had some serious deer damage to his car. Tonight I literally turned off my radio, put my high beams on, drove extremely slow with face close to the steering wheel like a senior citizen, I don't think I even blinked bc I wanted to be ready for these suicidal animals.  (I know I'm a total nerd)  Well tomorrow after work I've decided to head off to Pep Boys and get myself some deer whistles for my car!! The whistle will alert the animal of your approaching vehicle with sufficient time to avoid a costly collision. Deer are a highly skittish animal and will normally react to the whistle by stopping, looking, and listening to determine if they are being threatened.

Do any of you ladies have this same problem???!  I've had enough, I'd like to relax on my drive home and not drive 15 mph so I'll be ready to jam on my breaks.
**Sorry for this pointless post but I needed to vent lol

I'm the same exact way...always nervous about deer. I went to college at a place that was in the middle of nowhere and there were so many deers. Now, I just get so nervous when I'm driving and I see those deer signs. Its like I become more alert or something.

And I had no idea they had deer whistles. What a good idea!!

That would totally scare the crap outta me. I would be getting my hands on those whistles too!
