Sunless Tanning Reviews

I LOVE self tanners.
As I said in my last post 3 years ago I had to get deep skin tissue removed in two spots on my right arm above my elbow. I spent all 4 years of high school in a tanning bed and with my light skin & freckles was not the best idea and I paid for it! I will never step foot in a tanning bed again and I will always wear sunblock. To get that glowing skin look that I love, self tanners have become my best friend.
And let me tell you I've tried ALOT. Here are some of my favorites.

Victoria Secret always comes out with new self tanners each year. I always love them. Currently this is the exact self tanner that I'm using. $12.00

St. Tropez is a bit pricey but its wonderful!!
You can find this line on sephora.com About $30.00

My FAVORITE drugstore brand self tanner.
Its hard to find but the color looks great!!
I usually buy the medium/deep color for $11

I recently tried this brand.
It's expensive but the color comes out very neutral and
so many different self tanning options to choose from.
I like tanning cloths and foams.

HOW I APPLY SELF TANNER
First, I make sure I have enough time for the self tanner to dry nicely so it doesn't stick or get all over my clothes. I take a shower and exfoliate, making sure I don't have any tried up patches of old self tanner on my skin. After I make sure my skin is completely dry. I massage a regular body lotion of my feet, elbows and anywhere else that may get dark spots due to the tanning lotion. I've had some problems with streaking before but I realized I didn't rub the self tanner in all the way. I ALWAYS spread self tanner in a circular motion to avoid streaks. Also, don't forget to do behind your ears, neck, and under arms. Then I usually avoid contact with clothing for about 15 minutes usually by drying my hair or putting on makeup for the day :)

If you are a self tanner user like I am what products have you tried
and have liked? I'm ALWAYS up to try new products :)

Thanks for posting this!! I am currently using Arbonne's self tanner and I LOVE IT! Haven't experienced any "streaks" at all :)

Do any of the ones you mentioned need to be applied a special way to avoid the orangy streak look?

XOXO

As a red head, very light skin and freckled person I completely understand the need for self tanners. I tend not to go to a tanning bed unless I am going on vacation (& that will be for a week) or I did before prom. However, I do not think I will go in one again because of your post!!

I am going to try some of those tanners & hope for the best!!

Love me some self tanners! Especially here in Florida where its essentially required to have a tan all year round and people stare at you, assuming you're a tourist and you end up getting pushed around and honked at otherwise. :)

I can't wait to try some of these out. I'm not a fan of tanning beds as well and I always try to remember my sunblock! I've been looking for a good self tanner. Thanks for the recommendations love!!
